Hi, this is Neelam Rajput, the proud owner of the "Neelam Creations" with over 14 years of experience. I have completed my formal training in the city of Delhi in India just as a hobby. I came to the States in 1986 and realized that there was not a single Salon in the Metro Detroit area that provided threading, waxing and henna. I saw this is a opportunity and decided to attend the college of Beauty. Where I received my License. I never thought that my hobby will become my profession. My dream came true in May 1999 when I opened the first Indian Hair Salon. My specialties include all aspects of hair cutting/color/styling, skin care, waxing and make-up, manicures and henna. We have been in the same location for 12 years and are recognized as the best Salon for Threading and Facial. Neelam Creations is known for the Indian beauty service of Threading. It is a hair removal technique using a thread. With the thread, we holds one end in the mouth and make a loop in between fingers. In a slightly jerking motion, we grazes the looped thread along the skin and tugs to pluck the tiny eyebrow hairs. Neelam Creations is also popularized for Mendhi (Henna) Arts. Henna is a another Indian beauty technique. The paste is made from henna leaf and creates a vibrant brownish-orange stain on the skin, which lasts for more than 2 weeks. This is just like a temporary tattoo. Women who are getting married, usually get the lacy, intricate Henna Designs on their hands and feet as a token of good luck. |
